The focus of this workshop will be on how to paint landscape in a free loose style and create art works that have that atmospheric ethereal quality. Robert will demonstrate and guide students in an easy step by step process on how to analyse and simplify the subject. Robert will offer insight on colour mixing with a limited colour palette also on brush technique and paint applications using palette knives to create textures to add another dimension.

Robert has been exhibiting his work since the mid 80s and is now a full time professional artist . He is a landscape artist and paints rainforests ,seascapes and cityscapes capturing the mood and atmosphere of the subject. He paints mainly in oils and drawing is also an important part of his work using a broad loose style with touches of detail. Robert is a fellow of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists and a recipient of the Art Excellence Medallion 2004. He was also the winner of best oil/acrylic at the Camberwell Rotary Art Show 2018
His style has been described as realist contemporary with a design element.
